This classic home is one of the city's few remaining examples of Greek Revival-style architecture. It was built around 1825. Early on, this raised frame cottage was the home of land registrars Fred Grace and his daughter, Lucille May Grace, Louisiana's first female elected to statewide office in 1932. Elements of the building's style include the brick piers, gallery with simple rail-and-wood posts supporting a full entablature, square-headed windows and gable roof.
